to the Wisconsin State Journal. Dear Editor: Here is a human-interest story you should hear. How can anyone possibly feel the despair and desperation I felt the last few months? When I thought I had absolutely nowhere to turn or how, I heard of Transitions, Inc. After months of stress and deterioration of my health, due to circumstances beyond my control I had to vacate my apartment, and move to another. This was six months after making a very expensive and traumatic move from Florida to Madison. Now, another move? At my age, feeling helpless and alone. Move again! Fortunately and just in time I heard of Transitions. They took everything in hand. Moving day was set by Transitions. It was arranged for me to leave the house at 8:00 AM and not to return until I was called. I spent the day at a friend's apartment and had lunch with my son for a few happy relaxed hours. At 5:00 PM I was led into my new apartment where I cried a river. It was tears of happiness and surprise. It was like a story from the Bible. A miracle had happened! I walked into my new home! It was just that! Everything was in place. Just as I had left it. No cartons to unpack! My bed was made with a note of "Best Wishes" on my pillow. My refrigerator had my food in place ready to have dinner. I still am amazed at the transition. They saved my life! It was pretty amazing that, after we moved her, it looked almost identical to her original apartment, down to having that day's mail sitting in its usual spot.
